Ma. Liza V. Fresnido
A hands-on Human Resources Practitioner with 25 years of work experience in corporate Human Resources Management, Liza has mostly worked with multinational corporations in the private sector occupying the topmost and highest level positions in Human Resources Management. She also worked in the public sector, specifically for the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) as the Vice President of the Human Resources Office.

Managing a career mostly devoted to being a "Strategic Generalist" in Human Resources, her strengths include competencies in Training and Development, Compensation Planning, Design & Administration, Job Evaluation, Competency-Based Human Resource Systems, Performance and Career Management Systems and other Organizational Development interventions.

The multinational companies with which she was connected previously were the Philam Insurance Company of the AIG Group, Australian Consolidated Industries, Encyclopaedia Britannica Phils, Inc. and the Philippine Gaming Management Corporation.

She was the Corporate Human Resources Director of Macondray and Co. Inc. and the Aboitiz Transport Systems, Inc ( Aboitiz One), two of the most dynamic and successful local conglomerates in the country.

As a Human Resources Consultant, she has structured the Human Resources systems of at least four Filipino corporations and a newly formed company based in the USA. She is also contracted frequently by other HR consulting firms to provide various HR services for its clients, mostly in structuring competency-based performance management systems, job evaluation, recruitment and selection and compensation planning, design and administration.

She has co-designed and facilitated various training and development programs from 1993 to the present, e.g., Strategic Planning Workshop, Teambuilding, Coaching, EQ Workshop, Maintaining Employee Discipline, Values Communication and Integration Workshop, Company Vision and Mission Workshop, and Time Management Workshop for her various clients and for other consulting firms she is currently affiliated with.

Liza is currently the Executive Director of IL International and its Director for HROD. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of San Carlos. She is a member of the Personnel Management Association of the Philippines, Philippine Society for Training and Development, and the International Industrial Relations Society of which she was part of the Philippine delegation to its International Conference in Washington DC. She is also a member of ICANSERVE, an organization advocating breast cancer awareness and education in Filipino women nationwide.
